To put it simply, I have been there.
I know how overwhelming it can feel looking through tens of hundreds of portfolios, so much so that eventually they all seem to run together. There are plenty of talented wedding photographers out there, no doubt about it.
I can't speak for others, but I created a philosophy based on people first, business second.
I believe that your wedding photographers should be more than just another vendor on your wedding day. I want to be a resource for you, translating my years of experience working and planning weddings into less work for you, and more fun in the process. It's my goal for you to look back at the end of the day and feel like I helped make planning a wedding more enjoyable.

I combine an incredible experience, hand holding you through every step of the photography process; from having a blast at your engagement session, peppering in some game nights and dinners as we get to know each other, to custom designing your albums in my studio over a glass of champagne and chocolate chip cookies.

Editing is a mysterious part of the wedding process we want to bring to light! What happens after we leave your wedding?
Step one: We back up your images immediately after getting home that night.
Step two: We sort through the thousands of images, pulling the best ones we know you will love.
Step three: Matt spends hours individually editing each image to bring out the true beauty that existed on your day, striving to keep everything as realistic as possible.

We know that so many of our couples have never been photographed professionally and we make it a personal goal to make you feel like it's as easy as hanging out with friends.
Rather than focusing on poses we try to capture authentic moments that happen throughout your day that are completely unique to you. We love to document relationships, telling the story of not just the bride and groom but the family that has made you who you are today too.

Our desire is to make the entire wedding day stress free, and when you look back on your images, we want to remind you what a blast you had! So many things will be out of your control, the weather, the guests, the vendors, but we have the knowledge and ability to make the entire day look picture perfect from start to finish.

You can't pass down a USB to your grandchildren.
Wedding albums are visual proof of your commitment, of your wedding story, and of all the love present on your wedding day. Printing your photos in an album allows you to re-live that story in a way that an online gallery of a few hundred images simply does not. Imagine looking through your wedding album together with your family during the holidays, and again on your anniversaries, and maybe even later with your children. Printing your photos in an album allows you to experience them the way your photographer intended.

When you print your photos, you’re not the only ones who get to appreciate them – your family, both present and future, do too! If you’ve ever seen your parents’ or grandparents’ old wedding photos hanging in their home or come across a box of old images from their weddings, then you know how special and meaningful those artifacts are. Your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren being able to touch, hold, and sift through your wedding photos is a powerful way to connect through generations.

PRINTS & CANVASES
Our dates are first come first serve and we do not hold dates without a signed contract and deposit. Our deposit is $950 and your final balance is due 4 weeks before your wedding date. The contract and deposit can both be signed and paid through our online client portal to make it easy and convenient for you!
WHAT IS THE RETAINER FEE?

This is such a great question, and hopefully the hardest part of the decision making process when working with Right Start Photography! Take a careful look through what makes the packages different, and know that all packages require a $950 deposit, so you can always change your mind and upgrade later on
WHICH PACKAGE SHOULD I CHOOSE?

Print them, post them, frame them, hang them, or throw them on a billboard for the whole city to see! You have the right to reproduce the images in whatever way will let you best remember the day. However, you do not own the copyright. This simply means you can’t do something like enter the photos into a contest and pre- tend that you’re us. That would be weird anyways.
DO WE GET THE RIGHTS TO THE WEDDING IMAGES?

For your engagement session, we have a quick two week turnaround time, somEtimes even faster depending on when we book your reveal! Your wedding images will be ready within six to eight weeks. As we said above, each image is meticulously edited by a human being, not a filter or a robot. Excellence takes time.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SEE OUR PHOTOS?

The limit does not exist.
We don’t have a cap on how many images we present. We also won’t waste your time with the blurry, duplicate or out of focus images. Estimated at about 75 images per hour, each photo will be hand edited by Matt, himself!
HOW MANY IMAGES WILL WE RECEIVE?

If you have been sent this link we are available for your wedding date! As I mentioned before we cannot hold a wedding date without a signed contract and deposit.
